Brazilian knockout artist Thomas Almeida (21-1) returns to the Octagon on Saturday, Nov. 19, when he faces unbeaten bantamweight Albert Morales (6-0-1) in the UFC Fight Night 100 co-main event in Sao Paulo. We checked in with Thomas before the fight thanks to Wade Hampel of Big Fight Management.

Could you tell us how it is to fight in Brazil, in front of your fans?

It’s unique moment in my career. I’m very blessed for been here, fighting in front of my people, doing the co-main event in my hometown. I’m very happy and excited to give a great show to all the fans.

What type of advantages do you have on your opponent fighting in Brazil?

This is my house, my family, friends and teammates will be there so I’ll fight as hard as usual to represent everybody that believes in me. I’m very confident in myself and my body and mind are in the best conditions and I know that no one can stop me now.

What are some of the disadvantages your opponent will have fighting in Brazil?

The crowd is very intense here and my opponent has to have strong mind. The crowd puts pressure on him and this is hard for some fighters

What can your fans expect from Thomas Almeida in this fight?

The fans can expect an aggressive fighter, looking for the KO or Submission every moment and I guarantee it will be a great show!

After a fight, what do you like to do to to relax?

First of all after a fight I really like to take care of my body about injuries, then I love to eat all kinds of food especially pasta, chocolate and ice cream, and celebrate with my friends and family. I do love to go to the beach have good time too.
