The UFC 190 PPV event is quickly approaching on August 1 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will be headlined by UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey looking to defend her title against Bethe Correira in hostile territory. The co-main event will feature a rematch between two PRIDE legends when Mauricio “Shogun” Rua takes on Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
This will be Rousey’s (11-0) sixth title defense after winning the title in 2012. She last fought in February, defeating Cat Zingano in 14 seconds via armbar.
Correira (9-0) has gotten on the radar of Rousey by beating two of her training partners/friends in 2014. Correira defeated Jessamyn Duke via unanimous decision and Shayna Baszler via second round TKO. Correira is (3-0) in the UFC, but seven of her career wins have come via decision.
