Hell has frozen over.

Former WWE, WCW, and TNA champion Jeff Jarrett returned to the company he started last night. Despite the fact that Jeff’s wrestling company Global Force Wrestling (GFW) will actually be a rival promotion to TNA, he appeared during their Impact Wrestling¬†taping. GFW’s website released the following statement and video.

Global Force Wrestling founder Jeff Jarrett shocked the wrestling world when he made a surprise appearance on Impact Wrestling. Jarrett announced that he will walk down the aisle for the last time on his own terms at the TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view. Jarrett made his surprise appearance alongside his wife Karen Jarrett.

Slammiversary airs this Sunday, June 28th on pay-per-view.

We will have more on this story as details become available. Please follow @GFWWrestling on Twitter for more updates.

TNA President Dixie Carter and Matt Hardy tweeted the following after the Jarretts appeared.

Dixie Carter

There is so much history with @RealJeffJarrett in TNA @IMPACTWRESTLING Tonight was a moment many thought they never would see again.

Matt Hardy

Neat that a competing talent showed up on TNA TV. But I felt a long winded Jarrett cut in2 my TV time tonite-Not sure how I feel about that.

Jeff talks about his return to TNA, his Global Force Wrestling promotion, and closure.

No secret, a lot of ups and downs between the Jarretts and TNA over the years but I don’t want to bring up the negative, look to the positive. I’m just excited that we’re having the opportunity, have some closure, go out with one final match – the King of the Mountain match at the 13th anniversary, and have Global Force Wrestling at the forefront. That’s who I am, the talented roster we’ve put together, just the momentum with the Grand Slam tour and everything that goes with it. And I’m standing on my mission statement, we’re going to work with promotions from around the world – New Japan, AAA, all the independent promotions. Now we get to have the opportunity moving forward to work with Global Force and we’re working out those details but I’m excited about Sunday.
