We would need three additional writers this weekend and two would have to be at two separate events to ensure we were at them all. The biggest weekend of the new year is upon us and tonight we try to talk to as many people as we can that are taking to the cage this weekend. After an up and down year, Travis Hanshaw looks to kick things off in Ashland with a win. The local boxing standout will once again take to the ring the same night as his brother at Double Impact 2 this Friday night. . We will catch up with Travis and see what he thinks of his opponent and where he wants to go in 2014.

You may have been watching the videos. You may have heard him on the program. This Saturday Adam “Primetime” Townsend will take place in the first professional title fight in 3FC history with more than a belt on the line. Townsend is putting up his purse if he loses.

Adam Fritz went undefeated in 2013 and collected two titles. This will be the year he defends them and the party starts Saturday night in Shepherdsville against Jeff Mack. This is easily the biggest fight for both men and it will determine the best bantamweight in Kentucky and beyond. We talked to Mack last week, “Fancy Pants” join us tonight.

Returning is our Hoosier friend and lightweight fighter Dustin Parrish. Dustin returns to action Friday night at Midwest Fight Series in Indianapolis. Following Parrish will be Double Impact 2’s matchmaker Brian Knipp. Knipp will talk about what to expect at the MMA & boxing event that is mixed.

John Moorhouse of MMA-Insider.com will join us to close things out to talk about local MMA and the big 3FC doubleheader going down in Pigeon Forge.
