The UFC Fight Night 30 event took place today in Manchester, England and was headlined by the middleweight fight between former UFC light heavyweight champion Lyoto Machida and Mark Munoz. There were four fighters that earned $50,000 for their performances on Saturday.
- Lyoto Machida-“KO of the Night”
- Luke Barnatt and Andrew Craig-“Fight of the Night”
- Nicholas Muoske-“Submission of the Night”
Machida improved to (20-4) with a first round KO win over Mark Munoz to take the “KO of the Night” bonus. Machida landed several body kicks earlier in the round with Munoz leaning over in the direction of the kicks, which caused Machida to throw a headkick which landed and put Munoz away without any follow up punches in his middleweight debut.
Luke Barnatt and Andrew Craig earned “Fight of the Night” bonus. Barnatt rocked Craig in the first round and nearly finished him, but Barnatt was able to finish him in the second round with a rear naked choke submission.
UFC newcomer Nicholas Muoske earned the “Submission of the Night” bonus with a first round armbar win over Alessio Sakara. Muoske and Sakara both rocked one another with punches earlier in the round and then got into a transition scramble in which Muoske was able to lock onto belly down armbar which forced Sakara to verbally submit.
