FUEL TV airs the documentary “Forrest Griffin: The Ultimate Fighter” tonight (Wednesday, Sept. 5) at 11 p.m. ET/PT. The 90-minute full-length film chronicles the former Georgia police officer’s rise from obscurity to becoming the original Ultimate Fighter, UFC light heavyweight champion and one of the most beloved and important figures in UFC history.

Narrated by Forrest Griffin, the film features interviews with the people who know him best and archival footage of his journey to success. FUEL TV describes “Forrest Griffin: The Ultimate Fighter” documentary as “the definitive account of an improbable career path that winds through the center of some of the most pivotal events in the history of the UFC”.

Currently in his twelfth year as a professional MMA fighter, the 33-year-old Griffin is scheduled to return to action on Dec. 29 when he welcomes former No. 1 middleweight contender Chael Sonnen to the light heavyweight division at UFC 155.
