The UFC’s latest addition to their ever growing pool of talent is British flyweight Phil “Billy” Harris (21-9). He will be joining the likes of Joseph Benavidez, Demetrious Johnson, and Ian McCall.

News of the signing was reported by MMAJunkie.com who confirmed with Phil’s representatives at Intensiti Fighter Management that a deal had been inked.

At this stage it is not known who Harris will first matchup will be against or when it will take place, but an announcement is expected to be made soon.

Phil Harris is currently riding a five fight winning streak, most recently defeating Casey Dyer via Unanimous decision at ‘CWFC – Fight Night 4’ in March. Just prior to that he scored a first round submission victory over Remi Morvan at ‘Cage Warriors Fighting Championship 46’ in February, and picked up back-to-back unanimous decision victory’s over Steve McCombe and Neil Seery whilst fighting for BAMMA during 2010.

With the UFC currently looking to add depth and talent to their flyweight division, Harris is a well rounded fighter with the potential to do well. It will be interesting to see how he performs in his first bout.
