The latest addition to the ‘Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman’ card is a lightweight matchup between Bobby Green (18-5) and undefeated hopeful Matt Ricehouse (6-0). The event is scheduled to take place at the Valley View Casino Center in San Diego on Aug. 18.

The bout was recently announced by Strikeforce officials and is likely to feature as part of the preliminary card.

‘Strikeforce: Rousey vs. Kaufman’ will feature a headline bout between current women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey and former champ Sarah Kaufman. The main card for the event will air LIVE on Showtime with the prelims expected to air on Showtime Extreme.

Bobby Green is currently riding a three fight winning streak, most recently defeating James Terry via split decision at ‘Strikeforce: Barnett vs. Cormier’ in May. Prior to that he scored a third round submission victory over J.P. Reese at a Strikeforce Challengers event last November, and finished Charon Spain with a second round arm triangle choke submission in September 2011. Green has not lost since dropping a split decision against Gesias Cavalcante at ‘Strikeforce: Fedor vs. Henderson’ in July 2011.

Undefeated prospect Matt Ricehouse last fought at ‘Strikeforce Challengers: Britt vs. Sayers’ in November 2011  where he scored a unanimous decision victory over Bill Cooper. This victory brought his Strikeforce record to 4-0, after defeating notable fighters such as Gregory Wilson, Tom Aaron, and Ryan Couture. Matt now has the opportunity to extend his unbeaten run to seven with a good performance against Green.
