“Joe Palooka” & “Legion of Combat” comic book series to feature the Blackzilians in upcoming issues

Ridgewood, New Jersey (USA): Joe Antonacci, creator of “Joe Palooka” and its sister series, “Legion of Combat,” is extremely proud to announce that Team Palooka and Authentic Sports Management (ASM) have agreed to feature the respected fight team known as the “Blackzilians” in upcoming issues of both comic book series.

The Blackzilian team includes a virtual “who’s who” of MMA fighters, including former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion “Suga” Rashad Evans, UFC welterweight contender Anthony “Rumble” Johnson, UFC middleweight Jorge Santiago, rising UFC lightweight Michael “The Menace” Johnson, Strikeforce lightweight star JZ Cavalcante, and Strikeforce competitors Danillo and Yuri Villefort, among others. The “Joe Palooka” comic series tells the story of Joe Palooka, an MMA fighter who competes in “Legion of Combat,” which is a sister comic publication. “Legion of Combat” will feature Joe Palooka in team matches between fighters representing countries such as the U.S., the U.K., Brazil, Russia, Japan, China, and other nations.
