Bellator 45 takes place this evening at L’Auberge du Lac Resort in Lake Charles, La., and will air LIVE on MTV2 starting at 8 p.m. CT.

Bellator 45 features the season four light heavyweight tournament finals between Richard Hale (17-3-1) and Christian M’Pumbu (17-3-1), with the winner being awarded the very first Bellator 205-pound title.

Also, Patricio “Pitbull” Freire (16-1) will take on Daniel Straus (16-3) in the season four featherweight tournament finals. This will be the last event of season four.

Karl Amoussou vs. Sam Alvey

Round 1 – Karl slips to the ground on a kick, gets up lands a leg kick, another. Alvey misses with a right hook. Alvey lands a left but Karl knocks him down with a leg kick. Karl tries to attack his back but Alvey ends up on top inside Karl’s guard. Body shots from Alvey. Amoussou holds on until he gets the stand up. Karl uses a judo throw and lands in mount, very quick. Karl cuts Alvey open with elbows, he is in full mount now and the ginger is crimson now. He tries to cover up but Karl is being vicious here, elbows and elbows. The ref is looking close. Karl goes for an armbar, Alvey gets out of it and ends up on top inside full guard. Karl is red now from Alvey’s blood. ProMMAnow.com scores the round 10-9 for Amoussou.

Round 2 – They got Alvey cleaned up and the cuts were not in bad places. Leg kick from Karl. Nice left straight from Alvey. Leg kick from Karl and he eats a big punch to counter. Round 3 – The winner will compete in season five’s middleweight tournament. Leg kick from Amoussou. Karl shoots but Alvey stuffs him and lands some knees. Clinched, knees to the thighs from Karl and they are affecting Alvey as he complains to the ref. The ref stops the action and warns Amoussou. Body kick from Amoussou. Big leg kick from Amoussou. Alvey seems tentative. Nice one two from Alvey. Leg kick from Amoussou. Right hand from Alvey but Amoussou fires back and scores. They exchange big punches and clinch exchanging knees. Amoussou once again tries for a trip takedown and ends up on bottom with 25 seconds to go. Alvey  with lots of little body shots, he postures up and pours it on in the final seconds. Round 1 – Straus ducks an overhand punch and takes Pitbull down but he gets right up, clinched against the cage. PItbull with a knee to the gut, tries to drop levels. Straus tries to trip him to the mat, pushes him off and they square up. Straus backs Pitbull up with a one two. Throws a high kick that misses, clinches up and gets the takedown but Pitbull pops right up. It’s a clinch battle right now. Knee on the break from Pitbull. Nice body punch from Straus. Leg kick from Pitbull, then a leaping left hook. Straus with a left that misses, shoots, stuffed. They scramble. Flying knee from Pitbull that sort of hits Straus’ shoulder. NOTE: This is a five round light heavyweight title fight. M’Pumbu does not cut weight. Weighed 199 at weigh-ins and is fighting at the same weight.

Round 1 – Leg kick from M’Pumbu is checked. Hale with a leg kick and a couple jabs. Leg kick from Hale, M’Pumbu with a leg kick. Leg kick from M’Pumbu. Again. Big leg kick from M’Pumbu.
