Bellator Fighting Championships on Oct. 14 announced that former WEC lightweight champion “Razor” Rob McCullough signed an exclusive contract with the promotion and will compete in the season 4 lightweight tournament.

McCullough won the WEC belt in 2007 but lost the title to Jamie Varner at WEC 32. McCullough went 4-3 in WEC following the purchase of the promotion by UFC-parent company Zuffa.

Since then, McCullough racked up two wins on the Tachi Palace Fights circuit, including a win last month over The Ultimate Fighter alum Corey Hill.

“Before I was fighting just because I loved to do it and I couldn’t believe I was getting paid to do what I love, but now it’s a lot more serious,” McCullough said in a press release. “The guy that I’m fighting is trying to take food off my kid’s table. It’s entirely different now. I’ve found a new focus and a new motivation, so I’m ready to get in there and get buck wild in Bellator.”
