UFC 110 play-by-play:

Mirko “Cro Cop” Filipovic vs. Anthony Perosh

Round 1 – Cro Cop starts the fight by stalking his opponent. Perosh is circling away and he tries a double leg. He makes it a single, but Cro Cop stuffs it and lands some hammer fists. He holds Perosh in the front head lock position and pushes away. Perosh lands a leg kick and backs off. Cro Cop comes forward and lands a nice cross. Perosh shoots in and gives it up to the butt scoot. He rushes in again and eats a few shots before he gets the clinch. Cro Cop chases Perosh around the cage with three hard lefts. He once again defends with the front head lock and lands a few shots before he lets Perosh stand. Another double leg is stopped easily. Body kick lands for Cro Cop. Hard left bobbles the head of Perosh. He shoots again, but it is not close. ProMMANow score is 10-9 for Cro Cop.

Round 2 – Perosh starts the round by circling away again. He shoots, but is sprawled on. From the front Cro Cop lands some hard hammer fists. They are back on their feet. Cro Cop lands a hard upper cut and then a jab. A hard body kick lands for Cro Cop. Perosh answers with two inside leg kicks. His double leg is stuffed yet again. From the sprawl position Cro Cop shows the world why knees on the ground are necessary in MMA. Perosh shoots in again and presses Cro Cop into the fence. He eventually drags Cro Cop into his guard, but he gets cut badly by an overhand elbow. Choas is in the cage as some of Cro Cop’s corner think the fight is over as they check the cut. The fight is restarted. Cro Cop lands another hard left and lands some more hammer fists from the sprawl position. Perosh flops to his back, but eats more shots. ProMMANow score is 10-9 for Cro Cop.

In between rounds the officials stop the fight due to a deep cut above one of Perosh’s eyes.

Keith Jardine vs. Ryan Bader

Round 1 – The fighters trade punches to start the fight. Bader is stalker as Jardine circles. A small cut forms on the head of Jardine. Bader lands a few hard overhand rights. Jardine comes in, and Bader blasts through him with a double leg. Bader is on top in Jardine’s half guard. Jardine works on the bottom and gets to butterfly guard, but Bader passes back to half. He throws some hammer fists and elbows to the thigh. A few short elbows land. Bader momentarily tries to lock on a d’arce choke, but he lets it go. With less than a minute Josh Rosenthal restarts them on the feet. Jardine lands a counter right hand after a huge right misses for Bader. Both fighters throw hard, but nothing lands clean. A leg kick lands for Jardine to end the round. ProMMANow score is 10-9 for Bader.

Round 2 – Bader starts with a leg kick. Jardine lands a counter hook as Bader rushes in. Jardine lands a leg kick that looks like it hurt. Bader shoots in with a double. Jardine stuffs it. On the feet Jardine is starting to take control. With 10 seconds left Bader finally gets the takedown, but does not have much time to work. ProMMANow score is 10-9 for Jardine.

Round 3 – After a few light exchanges Bader jumps in with a right. It stuns Jardine. Bader follows up with a flying knee. Another left comes from Bader and Jardine stumbles to the mat. The referee steps in and stops the fight.

Joe Stevenson vs. George Sotiropoulos

Round 1 – The Aussie takes the center of the cage and Stevenson bounces around on the outside. Sotrioupolus lands a hard overhand right and then picks up a single leg. Stevenson defends well, and then gets pushed into the cage. The fighters pummel and Stevenson goes for a throw and get stuck on the bottom. Sotiropoulos works to pass, but Stevenson’s open guard is strong at first. Eventually he passes to half. Stevenson is defensive, but he is not eating shots or in danger. He locks up Sotiropoulus and holds on. Stevenson tries to sweep, but eats a few shots. To defend the Aussie jumps to the other side. Now standing over his opponent he lands some hammer fist to the body. Stevenson answer with an up kick. He tries an arm-triangle choke from the bottom, but Sotiropoulus counters and takes the mount. Stevenson scrambles and gives up his back. No hooks are in. The fighters scramble into north-south position. The Aussie goes for a kimura and turns it into an armbar, but he can’t finish. The round ends with Sotiropoulos in full mount. ProMMANow score is 10-8 for Sotiropoulos. The crowd is deafening between rounds.

Round 2 – Both fighters throw, but hit nothing but air. Stevenson lands a leg kick. Stevenson eats a straight and seems wobbled. An uppercut misses for Stevenson. A one-two and a jab land for Sotiropoulos. A right hook lands for the Aussie. Stevenson shoots in for a double leg, and Sotiropoulus immediately pulls rubber guard. Stevenson pushes him into the cage. The Aussie locks in an omaplata. Stevenson frees his arm and gets back on top. He stacks and puts his arm in trouble. Stevenson drops back on an ankle lock, but he losses it and the top position. The round ends with Sotiropoulos going for an anaconda choke. ProMMANow score is 10-9 for Sotiropoulos.

Round 3 – The Aussie wades in with a one-two. He lands another one as Stevenson bounces around on the outside. Stevenson’s kick is caught and he goes for a guillotine. He loses position, but Stevenson stands quickly. Stevenson presses his opponent up against the cage, but Sotiropoulos sweeps. Sotiropoulos lands a one-two and stuffs Stevenson’s double leg. Stevenson presses his opponent into the cage. He picks up the double and finishes the takedown into half guard. He tries to lock on a guillotine from half guard. Sotiropoulos regains guard. Two up-kicks land for the Aussie and, he gets back to his feet. Stevenson finishes another double leg. He pushes his opponent into the cage. The fight ends with Stevenson on top in full guard. ProMMANow score is 10-9 for Stevenson.

Wanderlei Silva vs. Michael Bisping

Round 1 – Both fights are tentative to start. Silva throws a leg kick that misses. Bisping throws a head kick that misses. Silva lands a leg kick. Bisping drops down for a double and finishes it. Silva gets up right away but he is returned, but Silva is right back up again. Silva lands a left off a kick. Bisping lands an inside leg kick. Another takedown by Bisping, but Silva pushes him away and gets right back to his feet. Silva wings a counter right, but misses. Silva backs up Bisping with another right. Then he fires a body kick. A hard leg kick follows. Silva comes in wild, does not land very much. Bisping tries to counter with a Thai knee, but it doesn’t land either. Bisping tries two doubles, but Silva shruggs them off. Silva lands two hard flurries to end the round. ProMMANow score is 10-10.

Round 2 – An inside leg kick starts things for Silva. Another counters a lead and wobbles Bisping. Silva catches a kick, sweeps the other leg. He takes top position in half guard. He lands a few shots before Bisping gains full guard. Bisping goes for a armbar, Silva pulls out and throws wild. Silva lands a hard body kick as Bisping tries to stand. Bisping pushes out the jab, but Silva is out of range. Silva gets taken down, but he scrambles back to his feet. A jab lands for Bisping. Silva throws and overhand right that glances off. A pair of inside leg kicks land for Silva. Silva wades in with a hard right, but nothing lands clean. Bisping rushes in with a double, but Silva counters with a guillotine, but Bisping is saved by the bell. ProMMANow score is 10-9 Silva.

Round 3 – Two inside leg kicks start the thing off for Silva. He tries to go high, but it is blocked. Bisping lands a lead hook. He goes for a jumping knee but it is not close. The inside leg kicks are still working Silva. He starts trying to time Bisping with a right hand. Bisping legs a body kick and tries a takedown, but it is stuffed. With one minute left Bisping throws a kick. Silva catches it and sweeps the other leg. Silva continues to push out the leg kicks. At the end of the round Silva comes in with another flurry. ProMMANow scores it 10-9 for Silva

Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Cain Velasquez

Round 1 – Both fighters circle. Nog’s reach is a factor. Velasquez lands a few leg kicks. He then comes forward with a combination that does not rock Nog. He lands two hard leg kicks and circles away. Nog pushes out a slow double jab, but it does not land. Cain lands two clinch knees and a hard hook as they separate. Another leg kick and a front kick from Cain. Velasquez lands a hard one-two that drops Nogueira. He follows up with hard ground and pound shots and the fight is over.

  1. Wow! that looks just like I did it! Great job Richard. Can’t believe Joe Daddy got beat and can not believe how that main event ended. Nog getting KO’d in round one? that is just sick. Cain is legit.
