Pro MMA Now‘s (www.prommanow.com) Tami Love Carswell caught up with Nick Diaz down in Sunrise, Fla., prior to his welterweight title fight against Marius Zaromskis at “Strikeforce: Miami” Saturday night. Nick talks about his involvement with triathalon competition and playing sports in high school. He talked about he didn’t get along with the football players (anyone relate?) but he discovered a place teaching jiu-jitsu close by. Bob Shamrock told him if he stuck it out, when he turned 18, he would get him in the UFC. That was just what Nick needed to hear for motivation.

In part two, Nick talks about the “bad rap” he gets because of some of his comments and actions. Nick is kind of from the old school when it was more about fighting and less about “sport”.
