WHAT: HDNet will air “HDNet Fights Presents: K-1 World Grand Prix 2009, in Seoul” on Friday, August 21 at 10:00 p.m. ET. The event took place at the Jangchung Gymnasium in South Korea and featured the K-1 Asia Grand Prix.
The 8-man, one-night tournament features rising K-1 stars from Japan, Korea, China, and India – including 21-year-old sensation Singh “Heart” Jaideep – as they vie for a spot in the K-1 World Grand Prix. The event also features 16-year-old Jae Hee Cheon, fresh off an upset win over Kid Yamamoto, against Tae Han Kim in the fight of the night, plus Gokhan Saki faces Pavel Zuravliov in the super fight co-main event.
