The official salaries have been released from UFC 91 along with the traditional bonuses. Dustin Hazelett took home Submission of the Night. Jeremy Stephens nabbed Knockout of the Night.
Jorge Gurgel and Aaron Riley’s three round prelim bout earned Fight of the Night honors. Those extra bonuses netted the four men an additional $60,000 respectively.
The total payroll (excluding the above bonuses) equaled $1.119 million. It should also be noted the mysterious back stage “Locker Room” bonuses we occasionally hear about.
While Demian Maia did not take home Submission of the Night bonus for the first time in his UFC career, he stated, “Yes but Dana White also gave me an extra bonus for that (laughs)…”
