UFC fighter Nate Diaz suspended 90 days and fined $20,000 for gay slur

UFC lightweight Nate Diaz was already on a bit of thin ice having lost his last two fights in a row, so when he broke the UFC’s Code of Conduct this past week by calling Byan Caraway a “Fag”, UFC president Dana White said Diaz would either be fined, suspended or released by the promotion.

Fortunately for Diaz he gets to keep his job — at least for now.

Nate Diaz did not approve of Pat Healy having his $130,000 bonus money taken away for testing positive for marijuana. UFC President Dana White gives first interview after “Hunt-gate” (audio)

In case you have been in a coma this past week, you probably heard the news about UFC President Dana White using one of his famous video blogs to announce his displeasure at a certain female MMA journalist for a recent article she had written.

Due to White’s particular choice of words he used to lash out at the journalist, he has drawn the ire of mainstream media all over the country. ESPN, FOX Sports, Newsday, USA Today, and the LA Times, just to name a few, all reported on the three minute video blog.
