On Feb. 7, 1997, a 19-year-old Brazilian by the name of Vitor Belfort made his UFC debut by fighting Tra Telligman and Scott Ferrozzo both on the same night. Vitor defeated both men via TKO early into the first round to win the UFC 12 heavyweight tournament.

Fast-forward 15 years and 30-something fights later… Vitor Belfort returns to action this Saturday night when he climbs into the Octagon with the no. 1 ranked 205-pounder in the world, Jon Jones, for a shot at his UFC light heavyweight title.

Vitor has been given a gift — no one believes he “deserves” a shot at the title. But nevertheless, he stepped up and here we are. Can the “old lion” shock the world with an upset victory? Can the 35-year-old veteran go a full five rounds with a champion 10 years his junior? Or will this fight end early and violently with a knockout or submission? Is there a chance Jon Jones could be underestimating or overlooking Vitor?

So many questions — but before you try and answer any of them check out this behind-the-scenes video of Vitor training and working with his fellow Blackzilians; guys like Tyrone Spong, Rashad Evans, Alistair Overeem and others.

Is Vitor like a lamb headed to the slaughter or is there a real possibility he could win this fight? Sound off fight fans.
