It appears a back injury has forced Matt Brown out of his welterweight showdown with Carlos Condit set for next week. Brown tweeted about his injury earlier today.
Thanks for the support guys. I regret to inform all that I am out of the fight with Condit. I herniated 2 discs in my lower back this week.

Brown has been on a tear, winning six straight fights and was positioned to be a true contender. He holds both a fight of the night as well as a knockout of the night in his last two appearances.
Due to the short notice and scheduling, Condit has been removed from the UFC on FOX 9 card.
