Did you think he was kidding?

Despite the current virus pandemic the UFC has been trying to take off in a full sprint towards the ticket booths. No crowds allowed? No problem. No events to be held anywhere to stop the spread? No problem. UFC president Dana White even went as far as to claim an Enter the Dragon style island was in the works so no state could deny them. Seriously, it got that weird. Thanks to pressure from above his pay grade the trying halted but it didn’t last long.

Recently it was made public that events would move forward with Jacksonville Florida hosting the blockbuster Justin Gaethje vs Tony Ferguson interim lightweight title bout on May 9th. On the 13th we will see light heavyweights Glover Teixeira (30-7) and Anthony Smith (33-14) throw hands and then on May 16th we will get a clash between heavyweight sluggers Alistair Overeem (45-18, 1 NC) and Walt Harris (13-7, 1 NC).

Also on the May 9th card we will see the return of former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz taking on current champ Henry Cejudo in what promises to be interesting to say the least. Needless to say Dana White is on cloud 9 with those names helping the company move forward during the crisis.

More as it becomes available.
