If you could design a perfect UFC debut performance it might look exactly how “Cool Hand” Luke Sanders (11-0) performed when he snapped 32-year-old Maximo Blanco‘s (12-7-1, 1 NC) three-fight winning streak in January. Sanders picked him apart on the feet then submitted the Venezuelan with a rear-naked choke at 3:38 of round one. To top it off Sanders took the fight on short notice and up a weight class. “Cool Hand” was amply rewarded for the submission win and received a $50,000 “Performance of the Night” bonus for his efforts.

Pro MMA Now caught up with Sanders at A&A Fight Time Promotions: A Night of Explosions over the weekend where he was guest commentating and found out how that incredible UFC debut win felt, what he did with all that bonus money and just what he’s got against “The California Kid” Urijah Faber.
