Former UFC women’s bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey appeared on the Ellen Degeneres Show to discuss the loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. An emotional Rousey mentioned that she had thoughts of killing herself because she felt like she was “nothing”.

“Honestly, my thought I was like, in the medical room and I was down in the corner,” Rousey said. “I was sitting in the corner like, What am I anymore if I’m not this? And I was literally sitting there and thinking about killing myself at that exact second. I’m like I’m nothing. What do I do anymore? “

Rousey went on to say that thoughts of having a baby with her boyfriend Travis Browne were what helped her realize she had more to live for.

Rousey is expected to return to MMA at some point and hopefully get another crack at Holly Holm. However, Holm will first defend the title against Rousey’s arch nemesis Miesha Tate at UFC 196 on March 5th.

She has mentioned that if she loses again, she’ll officially retire from MMA. Do you think she’ll get that belt back, or fade away into obscurity with another loss?
