UFC bantamweight champ TJ Dillashaw will put his title on the line this evening in Chicago in a rematch against former champ Renan Barao, who got knocked out and lost his title to Dillashaw in May 2014. Miesha Tate looks to get back in line for a title shot as she takes on Jessica “Evil” Eye in the co-headliner.

Zak Cummings vs. Dom Steele

Round 1 – Zak connects with a straight left in the first exchange that drops Dom. Dom is staggered, but gets to his feet. Zak is all over him with punches, backing him to the cage and finally the ref stops it.

Jessamyn Duke vs. Elizabeth Phillips

Round 1 – Duke takes several punches early, but lands a good head kick, then goes for an armbar as Phillips shoots in for a takedown. Phillips escapes the armbar and works on top from inside guard. Phillips gets to full mount, Duke gives up her back, but then Phillips regains mount and drops punches that make Duke give up her back again. Phillips locks on a body triangle and is looking for the choke. Duke is able to spin around and take top control before the bell. 10-9 Phillips.

Round 2 – Duke jumps on a guillotine but Phillips escapes and is now on top in half guard. Phillips gets to full mount and is dropping bombs as Duke gives up her back again. Phillips looking for the choke. Phillips jumps on a guillotine but Duke escapes and goes for a leglock but loses it. 10-9 Phillips.

Round 3 – Josh Barnett in Duke’s corner giving advice to knock Phillips out. Duke landing some decent punches and eventually gets a takedown. Duke goes for a guillotine but Phillips escapes. Duke adjusts and it looks tight but Phillips escapes to her feet. Duke meets her there and is hunting with 2 minutes to go. Phillips has slowed considerably. They slug it out, Duke lands some nice knees, and scores another takedown. One minute to go. Duke traps one arm via gift-wrap and lands some solid shots. Duke goes for one final armbar, straightens it out at the buzzer but it may be a too little too late. 10-9 Duke.

Ramsey Nijem vs. Andrew Holbrook

Round 1 – Lots of clinch fighting. Ramsey scores a takedown with about a minute to go. Holbrook lands a solid upkick as Ramsey delivers the ground and pound. 10-9 Nijem.

Round 2 – Ramsey being aggressive and lands some big shots (and taking a couple) before getting a takedown. Holbrook locks on a guillotine but Ramsey escapes. Holbrook goes for a leg and takes some big punches. Holbrook ends up taking top position inside full guard. Holbrook locks on a D’arce but Ramsey escapes. Holbrook then goes for a guillotine, but Ramsey escapes again, looking for a leg and taking a few punches. Ramsey gets a reversal and works from top in the final seconds. 10-9 Holbrook.

Round 3 – Ramsey comes out aggressive again landing punches before scoring a takedown. Holbrook looking for a kneebar, straightens it out but Ramsey escapes, he switches to a heel hook but Ramsey gets free again and has top control. Ramsey takes his back with one hook in and landing punches. Lots of grappling and submission attempts. Ramsey finishes on top in side mount landing ground and pound. 10-9 Nijem.

Daron Cruickshank vs. James Krause

Round 1 – Krause being aggressive, Cruickshank takes him down twice but lets him right up. Another takedown from Daron. Krause gets his own takedown and chokes Cruickshank, quickly forcing the tap.

Eddie Wineland vs. Bryan Caraway

Round 1 – Caraway with a takedown early, Wineland right back up, Caraway pressing him to the cage. Wineland gets free and goes to work trying to find his range. Overhand left from Caraway. Couple body shots and a leg kick from Wineland.  Caraway with a knee after his shot was stuffed. Wineland briefly looks for a guillotine. Wineland making Caraway miss a lot. Wineland scores with a right hand and a knee before the bell. 10-9 Wineland.

Round 2 – Nice overhand right from Caraway. Wineland with a stiff jab. Lead left hook from Caraway. Wineland cut under his right eye. Caraway shoots, stuffed, but he lands a knee. A few clinch uppercuts from Caraway. They slug it out the final 30 seconds or so, also talking at one another. Close round.

Round 3 – Caraway comes out very aggressive and landing punches, Wineland stuffs his takedown. As usual Wineland is keeping his hands low the whole fight. Caraway flops to the ground on a missed kick. Wineland lands some good body shots. Nice right hook. Caraway with some dirty boxing, Wineland stuffs his takedown.Caraway lands a knee to the chin. Wineland connects with an uppercut. Close round and fight.

Kenny Robertson vs. Ben Saunders

Round 1 – Body kick from Saunders, again. Again. Right from Robertson, then gets a takedown. Some great grappling from Saunders ending with an omoplata attempt that brings them back to the feet. Inside leg kick from Robertson. Another big body kick from Ben, then a high one. Big body kick again. Robertson fires back with an inside leg kick. Nice right from Robertson. He connects again. Clinch knee from Saunders. Left hand. Head kick scores, body kick and Robertson’s arm is jacked from blocking kicks. Saunders landing some big shots, but Robertson knocks him down with an overhand right. Saunders ties him up for the remaining few seconds. Damn good fight. 10-9 Robertson.

Round 2 – Inside leg kick from Robertson. Body kick. Knee to body. Jab and a right, another left and right, leg kick. Inside leg kick from Saunders, body kick. Robertson fires back with punches. A low kick from Saunders hits Robertson in the groin and time is called. … Back at it. Leg kick and body kick from Saunders. Robertson tees off with punches and Saunders is cut. Saunders scores with a couple punches. Body kick Saunders. Leg kick Robertson, another inside. High kick from Robertson. Big body punch from Robertson. Leg kick. Punch/head kick combo from Ben. Body kick from Ben. Teep. Body kick. Robertson backs him to the cage with punches, lands a couple nice body shots. They wing punches at each other until Robertson looks for the takedown. Crazy round. 10-9 Robertson.

Round 3 – Back to brawling. Saunders seems to be wearing on Robertson, but then he scores a takedown. Now he’s caught in Saunders’ rubber guard. Saunders cuts him open with elbows from his back. Ben keeps him the battering him with elbows for the rest of the round. Could be a 10-8 round for Saunders off his back? Probably not 10-8, but definitely give it to Saunders 10-9, however, he may have still lost the fight.

Jim Miller vs. Danny Castillo

Round 1 – Miller ends up on top of Castillo in half guard. Miller takes full mount. Castillo tries to muscles his way out and gets caught briefly in a triangle. Danny on top now in full guard trying to stay busy. Miller escapes to his feet. Leg kick from Castillo. Miller checks the next one. Miller with a leg kick. Castillo goes for a flying knee before the bell. Fairly close.

Round 2 – Leg kick from Miller. Leg kick again. Castillo with a leg kick. Big inside leg kick from Miller. Now one on the outside. Right from Castillo, body kick. Body kick from Miller. High kick from Castillo as Miller chases him down. Leg kick Miller. Right hand from Castillo. Castillo shoots, stuffed. Head kick from Castillo again. Body kick, then a head kick from Castillo. Leg kick Miller. 10-9 Castillo.

Round 3 – Leg kick from Miller. Body kick from Castillo hits the forearms. Right counter from Castillo. Right lead hook from Miller. Right from Castillo, body kick. Gian Villante vs. Tom Lawlor

Round 1 –  Couple high kicks from Villante are blocked. Body kick from Villante. Right counter hook from Lawlor. Villanelle scores with a hard right and leg kick. They exchange lead hooks. Inside leg kick from Villante. Clinch uppercuts follow. Right lead hook from Lawlor. Big inside leg kick from Villante, again. Big inside leg kick from Villante and Lawlor is not liking that at all. Villante goes to the back leg his time. Lowlor with a leg kick, but Villante catches it and takes Lawlor down, then lets him right up. Villanelle 10-9.

Round 2 – Two clinch uppercuts from Villante land solid. Villanelle walks right into a big right hook from Villante and goes down. Lawlor goes to follow up but the ref stops it. Boom. One hitter quitter.

Joe Lauzon vs. Takanori Gomi

Round 1 – Gomi goes to the body early. Joe with a hook and a takedown, goes for the leg, then takes his back. Elbows to the side of the head. Flattens him out, lands punches over and over and he goes out. The ref doesn’t stop it, but Lauzon just called it and got off him. That’s a good man.

Edson Barboza vs. Paul Felder

Round 1 – Barboza with a hard body kick that’s blocked, a couple more follow soon after. Barboza’s eyelid is swollen. Big leg kick from Barboza. Felder returns a leg kick but Barboza blocks it. Spinning backlist from Barboza and Felder blocks it but daps him for the effort. Barboza delivers a spin kick to the balls and time is called. That was hard. He’s walking it off. … Back at it. Elder catches a body kick but lets it go. Wheel kick from Felder misses. Lead left hook from Barboza. One two from Barboza. Body kick from Felder lands on the arm. Pretty close round.

Round 2 – They exchange leg kicks, Felder with a spin kick to the body. Barboza returns the same. Felder lands a nice spinning backfist but Barboza just eats it. Great match up here. Leg kick Barboza. Hard high kick from Barboza is blocked but it was amazingly loud. Lots of spinning stuff going on. HUGE leg kick from Barboza. Another one. Spinning elbow from Felder scores. Barboza fires back, body shot. His eye looks really bad. Body kick from Barboza. Flying knee from Felder scores. HUGE-MONGOUS body kick from Barboza. Felder walks through it. Time. Round 3 – Leg kick Barboza. Felder returns same. Barboza with a body kick. Leg kick. Felder’s body is very red from the kicks. Nice straight left from Barboza. Leg kick. Nice punch combo from Barboza. Felder just ducks a wheel kick, eats a body kick. Felder slowing. Leg kick Barboza. One two from Felder. Leg kick Barboza. Big body kick from Barboza. Elder smacks his own body then shoots, pinning Barboza to the cage. He breaks free with about 10 seconds left. They wing kicks for the final moments. 10-9 Barboza.

Miesha Tate vs. Jessica Eye

Round 1 – Some nice punch exchanges, Eye getting the best of it. Eye keeps her at bay with jabs. Misha misses a front kick and Eye lights her up with punches. Nice overhand right from Tate. Then a left hook, Eye fires back, both girls taking some solid shots. Inside leg kick from Tate. Eye stuffs a takedown and lands a hard punch on Tate. Tate then fires back with an overhand right that drops Eye. She takes top control in half guard. Some nice elbows from Miesha to the head. 10-9 Tate.

Round 2 – Inside leg kick from Eye. Another big right from Tate. Body kick. Tate with a takedown fake, then the overhand right. Tate pushes her to the cage. Elbow and a knee from Eye allows her to break out. Inside leg kick from Tate, Eye fires back but gets tagged with a right. Another punch exchange. Tate hurts her again with an overhand right. Miesha follows her to the ground but gets caught in a triangle for a moment. Now in side control. Miesha landing several elbows to the body. Miesha going for a one arm guillotine. It’s tight. With 10 seconds left Miesha goes for a full on guillotine but Eye survives. 10-9 Tate.

Round 3 – Body kick from Tate. Leg kick inside from Eye, again. Jab from Tate. Jab from Eye. Inside leg kick from Eye. Inside leg kick from Eye, high kick. Nice couple jabs from Eye. Inside leg kick. One two from Tate backs Eye up. Takedown from Cupcake, she takes her back, both hooks in. Under a minute to go. Ref stands them up even though she had Eye’s back. Miesha being very aggressive, takes an elbow and a couple knees from Eye up against the cage. 10-9 Tate.

TJ Dillashaw (c) vs. Renan Barao – for UFC bantamweight title

Round 1 – Touch gloves. TJ blocks a couple kicks. Barrio chasing him, scores with a couple shots. Big body kick from Barao. Clinch, knees to the body from Barao. Jab. Nice jab from TJ, knee, right hook. Right hand as he pushes Barao to the cage. The fight in the clinch for a moment, trading knees and body shots. Some nice knees from Barao. Dillashaw slips on a kick, right back up. Lead right hooks from TJ. Uppercut, right hook. Barrio stunned. Switching stances. Jab from TJ, leg kick. Another. Angles. Inside leg kick from Barao. TJ with a left, body kick, head kick shin to chin, snapping the head back. Slugging it out in the pocket, TJ gets tagged and calls him on. They survive the round. 10-9 Dillashaw.

Round 2 – TJ landing punches, clinch knee. Shoots in against the cage, where they remain for several moments. TJ lights him up with a combo. Throws a sloppy kick and gets tagged with a right. Renan with a takedown but TJ right back up and pins Barao to the cage. TJ lands a couple nice rights that stun Barao as they move away from the cage. Head kick from TJ, jab. Clinch, knee to the body from Barao. Straight left from TJ. Right jab from TJ, body kick. TJ shoots, stuffed. He pins Barao to the cage and lands some shots before the bell. 10-9 Dillashaw.

Round 3 – TJ using that Dominick Cruz footwork. Body kick, leg kick, using great angles. Leg kick. Right hook. Making Barao miss a lot. Head kick from TJ. TJ switching stances at will. Renan shoots, stuffed, TJ lets him up. High kick, right hook from TJ, seemingly in full control of the stand up. Body kick from TJ. Barao slowed way down. TJ getting the better of every exchange now and landing solid shots. TJ pressing him to the cage. Knee from Barao up the center. Another nice knee from Barao as TJ continues to search for a takedown. TJ backs out. Right hook. Head kick from Barao barely misses. TJ all over him against the cage, landing big punches and a knee that leaves Barao staggering at the bell. 10-9 Dillashaw.

Round 4 – Leg kick and TJ backs him to the cage with about a 40 punch combo. I think he went limp like 2 or 3 times before Herb Dean stopped it. It was a barrage of violence reminiscent of the old Vitor Belfort. WATCH HOW THE FIGHT ENDED HERE.
