UFC officials have announced another bout for the upcoming UFC on FOX 15 event that’s set for April 18th at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. Aljamain Sterling has verbally agreed to take on TUF alum Manny Gamburyan in a bantamweight matchup.
The event will be headlined by the middleweight bout between Lyoto Machida and Luke Rockhold.
Sterling (10-0) is coming off his second victory inside the Octagon, a third round TKO win over Hugo Viana. Sterling won his UFC debut against Cody Gibson via unanimous decision.
Gamburyan (14-8, 1 NC) is coming off a second round submission win over the same Cody Gibson in his bantamweight debut. Gamburyan made the move to bantamweight after fighting the last few years as a featherweight. He fought Jose Aldo for the WEC featherweight title in 2010, losing via second round KO.
