UFC officials have announced a welterweight matchup for the upcoming UFC Fight Night 43 event slated to take place on June 28 in New Zealand. A welterweight bout between Neil Magny and Claudio Henrique da Silva has been verbally agreed upon.
The event will be headlined by a middleweight bout between Nate Marquardt and New Zealand’s own James Te Huna.
Brazil’s da Silva (10-1) is coming off a decision win over Brad Scott in his promotional debut in March. He previously fought as a middleweight, but will make the drop in weight to the welterweight division for this matchup.
Magny (10-3) is coming off an upset decision win over Tim Means in his last outing just last week. Magny, a TUF alum, has won back-to-back fights in the UFC.
The event will be aired entirely via the UFC Fight Pass subscription service. Stay tuned to ProMMAnow.com for more UFC Fight Night 43 news and coverage.
