UFC Fight Night: Gustafsson vs. Manuwa (UFC Fight Night 37) is being held today at O2 Arena in London, England. Headlining the card is a light heavyweight match-up between No. 1 ranked Alexander Gustafsson (15-2) and undefeated knockout artist Jimi Manuwa (14-0).

170 lbs: Omari Akhmedov vs. Gunnar Nelson
Round 1 – Nelson looking to keep his undefeated streak going with a win here. Touch gloves. Body kick from Akhmedov, then a leg kick. Nelson pressing. Leg kick again from Akmedov. Nelson switching stances. Left right hook from Akhmedov as Nelson continues to stalk. Leg kick again from Akhmedov. Body kick. Straight right from Nelson, followed by a takedown. Nelson takes full mount straight away. Akhmedov trying to escape but Nelson stays heavy. Elbow from Nelson. Another nice one. Akhmedov bucks up but Nelson stays on top in full mount. More big elbows from Nelson. Looks to be trying to isolate an arm, drops more elbows and bloodies Akhmedov pretty good. Nelson moves to side control after he postures up and Akhmedov tries kicking him off. He locks up a tight guillotine choke and Akhmedov taps out.

Round 1 – Leg kick Pickett. Right hook from Seery. Left hook from Pickett. He shoots in, stuffed. Leg kick Pickett. Left hook from Seery knocks Pickett off balance. Right from Seery, Pickett returns same. Leg kick follows from Pickett. Seery ducks a left hook. Leg kick Pickett. Right from Seery. Pickett shoots in and dumps Seery on his back. Seery wraps him up in full guard. Pickett tries to slam free but Seery hangs on. Pickett moves to half guard, trying to pass to side mount, softening Seery up with punches. Pickett locks up an arm triangle but Seery holds him in half guard and prevents Pickett getting a good angle. Seery recovers full guard. Pickett moves to half, but Seery gets to his feet. They trade big hook shots before the bell. PMN scores round one 10-9 for Pickett.
Round 2 – Left jab from Pickett. Left hook from Seery, then a right hook counter as Pickett comes in swinging. Another right hook from Seery lands, then another. Pickett shoots in, presses Seery against the cage, lands a couple knees to the thighs. Pickett backs out. Right hook from Seery. Another left, right hook combo. Right to the body. Right to the body again from Seery. He blocks a high kick. Pickett shoots for a single, no dice. Pickett backs out. Right from Pickett. Right hook counter from Seery. Then a left. Pickett presses to the cage. Knees to thigh. Pickett drops levels and dumps Seery on his back again. Seery on bottom with full guard. Pickett postures up with punches. One minute to go. Round 3 – Straight right from Pickett. Counter hook from Seery. Knee to the body from Pickett. They trade hooks. Leg kick Pickett. Nice punch exchange. Pickett takes a finger in the eye and time is called as the doctor checks him out. Right hook Seery, then another. And another as Pickett comes in swinging. Pickett shoots, stuffed. Left hook from Pickett. Right hook from Seery. Pickett shoots and gets a takedown after eating some big shots. Pickett moves to half guard. 90 seconds to go. Seery gets up and unloads some punches. Pickett fires back. Right hook, straight left from Seery. Nice straight left from Seery. Pickett shoots, nice double leg takedown, takes half guard from top. Pickett lands one last uppercut as he backs up and Seery tries to get up. Great showing by Seery on short notice.

Round 1 – This should be a good one. I’m feeling a dog fight. Johnson takes the center right away. Misses a leg kick. Left counter from Melvin. Nice knee from Melvin as Johnson tries to step in with a right. Leg kick Johnson, again. Front kick exchange and Guillard takes a kick to the groin. Time out called. Leg kick Johnson. Johnson connects with a punch or two and Melvin fires back. Left straight to body from Johnson. Leg kick. Again. Melvin dropping his hands after his punches. Johnson shoots in, stuffed. Leg kick Johnson, body kick. Punch exchange. Leg kick Johnson. Left from Guillard. Johnson calls Melvin on and throws up his hands. Melvin lands a big uppercut that stuns Johnson. Johnson shoots in, but Melvin counters it with his own trip takedown. Johnson right back up though and stalking. Misses a head kick. Guillard looking to counter. Johnson showed signs of frustration at Melvin not coming forward. Smart gameplan by Guillard. PMN scores the round 10-9 Guillard.
Round 2 – Right from Guillard. Johnson stalking, switching stances. Front kicks from Guillard. Left straight from Johnson, leg kick. Johnson being more patient this round. Left to body from Johnson. The boos start because of the slower paced round. Body kick from Johnson. Melvin tries to fire back but misses, Johnson misses the counter. Left to the solar plexus from Johnson, body kick. Leg kick. Leg kick Guillard. Leg kick Johnson. Right from Guillard, Johnson counters. Leg kick Johnson. Johnson throws up his hands. Crowd boos. Leg kick Johnson, again. Again. Johnson shoots from outside, stuffed. Big left from Johnson, gets Melvin to the cage, lands a knee then another left and Melvin drops to a knee, wobbly. He stands right back up though as the round ends. PMN sees the round 10-9 for Johnson.
Round 3 – It’s anybody’s fight going into the third. Guillard connects with punches but Johnson puts him on his back. Guillard right back up. Leg kick from Johnson. Left hand from Johnson. Left from Guillard. Johnson counters. Guillard has him chasing him now. Leg kick from Guillard but he eats a big straight left. Johnson presses him to the cage looking for a single. Right from Guillard on the break. Melvin rushes in with punches but eats a big right that stops Melvin in his tracks. Melvin relying on head movement to dodge Johnson’s shots but eats some heavy punches. Johnson has him against the cage, lands a big elbow and uppercut. Guillard acting like he got poked in the eye, but ref lets it go and Johnson teed off, almost dropping Guillard. Guillard is getting worked. Johnson backs up to create some distance. Ten seconds to go. Crowd boos as they let it run out. Replay shows Guillard did get a poke in the eye.

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Left from Manuwa, then a leg kick. Jab and a leg kick from Alex. Then a body kick. Alex shoots in and puts Manuwa on his back. Alex on top in half guard. Alex isolating the left arm, trying to pass guard. Crowd getting restless. Bit of a stalemate here. Alex lets the arm go. Couple elbows to the thigh. Shoulder bump from Alex, again. Again. Manuwa recovers full guard. Elbow from his back from Manuwa. Gustafsson stands up to try and pass but Manuwa explodes to his feet with one minute to go. Jab and a shot from Alex, stuffed by Manuwa, then lands a knee on Alex. Left to the body from Jimi. Double jab, hook from Alex. Jab from Alex. Leg kick from Manuwa. PMN scores round one 10-9 for Gustafsson, who is breathing pretty hard after the round.
Round 2 – Big inside leg kick from Manuwa. Left hook, leg kick from Alex. Jab, uppercut attempt from Alex. Jimi takes a poke to the eye and the ref calls time so the Dr. can check him out. Double jab from Alex. Left, right, leg kick from Jimi, then an overhand right catches Alex on the back of the head. Alex backs Jimi to the cage, grabs a Thai plum, lands a knee to the chin followed by an uppercut that turns Manuwa’s knees to jelly. Alex follows it up with another punch as Manuwa is falling, he finishes him off and the ref stops it. Great finish by Alex handing Manuwa’s first career loss.
