UFC officials have announced an exciting lightweight bout between Donald Cerrone and Edson Barboza that will take place on the upcoming UFC on FOX 11 event. The event will take place on April 19 in Orlando, Florida, and will be headlined by the heavyweight scrap between Travis Browne and Fabricio Werdum.
Cerrone (22-6, 1NC) is coming off a first round KO win over Adriano Martins at the UFC on FOX 10 event just a couple of weeks ago. Cerrone has won back-to-back fights since losing to Rafael dos Anjos in August 2013.
Barboza (13-1) has won three consecutive fights since suffering the lone loss in his career, an upset KO at the hands of Jamie Varner. Barboza was last in action at the UFC on FOX 9 event, winning a majority decision against Danny Castillo.
Also on the card, a women’s bantamweight matchup between former title contenders Miesha Tate and Liz Carmouche.
