After breaking his back and having surgery, Batista, through his friendship with Nick Diaz, began training in Gracie Jiu-Jitsu and even dabbled in mixed martial arts for a time. He actually had one pro fight, defeating Vince Lucero via first round TKO in 2012. Now listen in as “The Animal”, now 45-years-old, talks about his return to the WWE and his desire to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.
“I’ve always wanted to be on top. I don’t shoot for anything less. I want to be the undisputed heavyweight champion. That’s been my goal all along and it’s no different now and I think that’s why this is the perfect time for me to return. Whoever is holding that title is my target.” -Batista
