UFC officials have officially announced that UFC heavyweights Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira and Fabricio Werdum will face one anther in the main event of the UFC on FUEL TV 10 card that’s set to take place on June 8 in Brazil.
The two heavyweights will be coaches on the “The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil” show that will premiere on Sunday night in Brazil. The episodes will re-air on TUF.tv.
The two fighters have fought once before in the now defunct PRIDE organization in 2006. Nogueira was able to take the fight via unanimous decision. Nogueira (34-7-1, 1NC) is coming off a second round submission win over Dave Herman at UFC 153. Werdum (16-5-1) is coming off a first round TKO win over Mike Russow at UFC 147.
The UFC on FUEL TV 10 card thus far is below:
- Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Fabricio Werdum
- Erick Silva vs. John Hathaway
- Ildemar Alcantara vs. Jason High
- Thiago Silva vs. Rafael Cavalcante
- Karlos Vemola vs. Caio Magalhaes
- Derek Bruson vs. Ronny Marks
