In preparation of their debut card on Spike TV, Bellator Fighting Championships will hold an open workout day for media and fans Tuesday, Jan. 15, from 1-3 p.m. PST at HB Ultimate Training Center in Huntington Beach, Calif.
Participating in the open workout will be fighters competing at Bellator 85 on Thursday, Jan. 17, at the nearby Bren Center in Irvine.
Bellator lightweight champion Michael Chandler, his main event title challenger Rick Hawn, featherweight champ Pat Curran, Patricio “Pitbull” Freire, Renato “Babalu” Sobral, Mike “Joker” Guymon and Mario Navarro will display their mixed martial arts training for those in attendance.
Interviews and Q&A sessions with each fighter will follow, and Bellator Chairman and CEO Bjorn Rebney will also be on hand. HB Ultimate Training Center is located at 19240 Beach Boulevard, Huntington Beach, California (714-593-9335).
The open workout schedule for the fighters is as follows:
- 1 – 1:30 p.m. – Pat Curran/Mike Guymon
- 1:30 – 2 p.m. – Babalu Sobral/Rick Hawn
- 2 – 2:30 p.m. – Patricio Pitbull/Mario Navarro
- 2:30 – 3 p.m. – Michael Chandler
