The upstart World Series of Fighting promotion held a conference call today and laid out plans for their inaugural show on November 3rd show as well as tentative plans for 2013.

WSOF President Ray Sefo indicated that the promotion could potentially hold 8-12 events in 2013, as well as crowning champions in their respective weight divisions after their third or fourth event.

WSOF 1 will take place on November 3rd in Las Vegas, Nevada, and will be held at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino. The main card fights will air on the NBC Sports network, with preliminary fights airing on Sherdog.com.

WSOF officials indicated that they would like to branch out from the Las Vegas area to hold additional shows, and indicated that the state of New Jersey was definitely a place they would like to go as well. The promotion is looking at the end of January for their second show, and that there are definitely concrete discussions on when the next event will be according to Sefo.

The WSOF 1 event will be headlined by former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski and MMA veteran Devin Cole. The WSOF 1 fight card can be found below:
