UFC 147 weigh-ins took place today at the Estadio Jornalista Felipe Drumond in Belo Horizonte, Brazil.
Rich Franklin steps in on short notice replacing Vitor Belfort to take on familiar foe and Brazilian native Wanderlei Silva. Franklin weighed in at 190 pounds while Silva weighed in at 188 pounds for their 190 pound catchweight main event bout.
In a match up of big men Fabricio Werdum steps into the cage with Chicago’s Mike Russow. Werdum tipped the scales at 246 pounds, while Russow weighed in two pounds heavier at 248.
John Teixeira stepped on the scale four pounds over the allowance and will be given two hours to make 146 pounds for his featherweight match up against Hugo Viana. Viana weighed in at an even 145. All other competitors made weight and 11 bouts are scheduled to take place in Brazil.
