All competitors for Friday night’s Bellator 71 event have made weight. Taking place that takes places at the Mountaineer Casion, Racetrack & Resort in Chester, WV, Bellator 71 kicks off the “Summer Series” and jump starts the Light-heavyweight tournament. West Virginia will witness the Bellator debut of Brett Rogers as the Strikeforce veteran looks to revive his career.
There was some pre-fight changing as Rich Hale was forced to withdraw due to sickness. Tim Carpenter made the move to replace Hale which left John Hawk without a fight.
Bellator 71’s main card airs on MTV2 as the prelims will be streamed on Spike.com.
