DANIEL STRAUS

Show 134 kicks off this week with a little Bellator action. This week it’s Daniel Straus sitting in the hot seat. Straus is set to take on Mike Corey at Bellator 65 from inside the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. Daniel has a very interesting story even before MMA. He is considered one of the best wrestlers of the decade and one of a few top wrestlers in Ohio to never win a State Title while in High School, I don’t want to give too much of the story away but it’s one we will talk about, from being ineligible his senior year to getting a Wild Card berth into the NHSCA Senior Nationals.

We will talk to Straus about his last run in the Bellator Tourney, coming back for this years and much more. We are looking forward to talking to Daniel about the ups and downs and the future for him in this sport. Follow Daniel on Twitter @DanielStraus

Update – Due to a tragic auto accident that involved close friends of Straus, he will not be on the show this evening. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of Dominique Steele and Chris Smith.

ALP “THE TURKISH DELIGHT” OZKILIC

Back on the show is a man who is ready to brawl and pick up his second win in the Tachi Tourney on April 13th. Alp Ozkilic is set to take on Chico Camus in what should be a battle of the grapplers and see quite a bit of the fight take place on the ground.

We will talk to Alp about his first round of the tournament and how training has gone for round 2. Gotta ask Alp about his opponent as I am sure he has had a chance to watch the first round several times. Alp is training out of St. Louis and we have to give a big shout out to St. Charles MMA!

Alp is now 5-0 as a pro and looking to earn the contract with Tachi Palace. Alp is always a great guest and I expect nothing less as he is one step closer to securing a contract with one of the biggest promotions in the US not owned by Zuffa. Make sure to Follow Alp on Twitter @AlpOzkilicMMA

DANNY “THE GREMLIN” MARTINEZ

Kicking off the second hour is “The Gremlin.” That’s right Danny Martinez is about to tear up the shop and I can’t wait. I hope ya’ll are ready because Danny just got back from Vegas on the set of TUF and has plenty to talk about. We will talk to him about the whole Alliance Team moving out to Vegas, and having to deal with Sin City and training, not having his team in San Diego full time right now, and I am sure we can find time to even talk about if he got on the set and worked with any of the contestants.

Danny is coming off a win last week where ended up claiming the XFS 125 lb title in less than 2:35. Danny is on a 3 fight win streak and I can’t wait to talk to him about waiting for the UFC to call. I mean the guy is 16-4 as a pro and has fought some beasts, trust me it won’t be that long. Danny is a firecracker and the question is when he calls in will his fuse already be lit??? BRANDON “THE TRUTH” VERA

I have waited a long time to do a write up announcing that our next guest would be dropping into the shop and it’s finally time! Well I am speaking the truth and this Sunday we will be speaking to “The Truth”. That’s right Brandon “The Truth” Vera is stopping into the show and we have plenty to talk about.

Brandon was last seen picking up a win against Eliot Marshall back in October at UFC 137. Brandon was rumored to be stepping back in the Octagon to take on Thiago Silva, but was forced out of the bout due to injury. We will talk to Brandon about the desire to get a rematch against Silva, his thoughts on fighters and PED’s and even TRT. We will talk to Brandon about his career, how much longer he has left throwing FIST-ta-CUFFs, and so much more.

I mean C’mon SON, it’s BRANDON VERA.. I could talk to this guy for hours about his career and thoughts on the sport and the future, hell even coaching and watching his wife fight. This is going to be a great interview don’t miss it. Follow Brandon on Twitter @Verafied
