HAMMOND, Ind. — Bellator Fighting Championships kicks off its sixth season tonight with Bellator 60 at Hammond’s Horseshoe Casino in Hammond, Ind. Featherweight Champion Joe Warren puts his title on the line against Pat Curran in the night’s main event. Bellator 60 also features the quarterfinal round of the season six featherweight tournament.

The main card for Bellator 60 will broadcast LIVE starting at 8 p.m. ET/7 p.m. CT on MTV2. Preliminary card action will stream LIVE on Spike.com at 7 p.m. ET/ 6 p.m. CT.

Round 1 – Not sure why this fight is on the prelims. I do know that Foster was originally supposed to face Genair da Silva as part of the 145 tourney but da Silva missed weight and was pulled from the tourney. — Popo misses a head kick, goes over Foster’s head. Long feeling out period. Foster misses an overhand left. Popo stalking, shoots, gets the takedown but Foster gets right up, clinched against the cage. Popo with some dirty boxing. Knees to the thighs from Foster as he leans on Popo. Popo escapes to the center. Big leg kick from Popo. Goes for the head kick, blocked. Foster throws a head kick but slips to the ground. Popo shoots, stuffed. Leg kick from Popo. Body kick from Popo, he then lands a nice combo that snaps Foster’s head. Nice inside leg kick from Popo. Foster blocks a high kick. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Popo.

Round 2 – Punch combo from Popo, nice inside leg kick. Leg kick and a left from Foster. Nice leg kick from Popo. Step in side kick from Popo. Clinch, slam from Foster. But he bounces right up. Clinch, Popo does a forward flip while attempting a hip tossefending a hip toss. Leg kick from Popo. Pop advancing with a feeling jab, leg kick. Foster shoots for a single, stuffed. Overhand right from Popo. Foster shoots, stuffed and Popo gets him down and unleashes a barrage of punches hurting Foster, jumps on his back with a rear naked choke and Foster taps with only three seconds to go.

Shamar Bailey vs. Josh Shockley

Round 1 – Left hand from Bailey, body kick. Shockley much taller. Body kick and right hand from Bailey. Push kick from Shockley. Shockley shoots, pushes Bailey to the cage. Shockley picks Bailey up for a big slam, moves to half guard from the top. Shockley fishes for a standing guillotine. Straight right from Shockley as Bailey feints. Shockley ties up Bailey against the cage. Shockley goes for a trip takedown, Bailey defends, ends up on top, goes for a guillotine but Shockley is free of it and now has top control. Bad judgment there for Bailey. Shockley gets full mount for a bout half a second. Back to half guard. They scramble and Shockley ends up back in half guard. Bailey gets to his knees. Shockley holding a front head lock. Big elbows to the back and right hands to the body from Shockley. Bailey gets to his feet, takes Shockley’s back but time is up. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Shockley.

Round 2 – Bailey swings and misses. Shockley with a jab and Bailey lands combo. Two and three leg kicks outside. Another one. Flashing a jab, leg kick again to the same spot. Jab from Shockley. Inside leg kick from Bailey lands high and Shockley folds. Time is called. Shockley took close to the full 5 minutes. Nice left hand from Bailey, he comes stalking. Shockley with a big right hand. Body kick and a left from Bailey. Nice left hook by Bailey on the chin, Shockley instinctively shoots after getting clipped, puts Bailey down. Bailey gets to one knee. Shockley with a front headlock. Bailey pushes him over to his back. Shockley gets up, still clinched and muscles Bailey down overpowering him. Short left hands by Shockley from open half guard. Couple body shots from Shockley, more shots now and an elbow. He rides it out on top probably stealing the round 10-9.

Round 3 –  Bailey swings, Shockley shoots under and puts Bailey down easily. Shockley told his corner between rounds he was tired. They said they didn’t care and wanted five more minutes. Shockley in half guard on top landing body shots and elbows. Shockley moves to side control, nice elbow, looking for full mount. Baiely tries to sit up but no dice. Shockley still looking for full mount but Bailey defends so far. Shockley back in side control. Only 1:30 left in the fight. Bailey tries to explode but Shockley holds him down and lands several punches to the face, mostly holding Bailey down now. Bailey looks for a kimura. Only 30 seconds left. Bailey gets to his feet, just in time to get slammed. Bailey looks for a guillotine, but he doesn’t have guard and the round and fight ends. PMN scores the round 10-9 and fight 30-27 for Shockley.

Daniel Straus vs. Jeremy Spoon

Round 1 – Touch gloves. Straus hunting. Leg kick. He checks Spoon’s kick. They tie up. Straus with standing arm triangle, scramble, square back up. Jab from Straus. Left from Spoon. Counter left from Spoon. Leg kick from Spoon and gets countered by a big left hand. Straus with the takedown. Spoon trying to push the head down and pop back to his feet. Straus keeps him down. Spoon on his knees. Knees to the body from Straus. Spoon is up, throws a knee right to the groin followed by an Straus goes down. Time is called for the illegal blow. They touch gloves. Body kick from Straus. Side kick from Spoon, left from Straus and a jumping knee, big left from Straus knocks Spoon off balance. Spoon catches a right kick, lets it go. They swing punches, miss. Inside leg kick from Straus, left hand, head kick checked. Big left from Straus before the bell. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Straus.

Round 2 – Right counter from Spoon, shoots for a single, lets it go. Straus clinches, dirty boxing from Spoon. He leans on Straus against the cage. Knee from Spoon to the thigh, whizzer from Straus tries to throw Spoon. Body kick from Straus then lands a low blow and time is called. Big inside leg kick from Straus, then outside, push kick, one two punch. Slips a one two. Misses a high kick, counters with a one two. Spoon drives for a takedown lifts Straus up and they run into the cage preventing the takedown. Spoon leaning on Straus against the cage. Dirty boxing and knee battle here. Straus explodes out and lands a knee. they square up. Leg kick from Straus. Spoon pushes Straus to the cage, they trade knees. One minute to go. Spoon with several knees to the thighs. Spoon with a trip takedown, Straus bounces right up, gets his own takedown rather easily. Straus with the ground and pound. Gives an axe kick to the body of the downed Spoon. Round 3 – Big inside leg kick from Straus. Spoon lands a big counter right hand right on the button. Inside leg kick from Straus, shoots, stuffed. Spoon is undefeated by the way. Flying knee from Straus, he gets countered with a couple nice punches after he Straus lands. He ties up Straus and gives him several knees to the thighs. Knee to the body from Straus and a left hand backs Spoon up. One two from Straus, they trade kicks. Left hand from Straus after a failed shot from  Spoon. Leg kick Spoon. Leg kick Straus, left hand. Leg kick from Spoon. Inside leg kick from Straus, Spoon shoots. Left from Straus backs Spoon up. Spoon counters an uppercut with a nice right. They tie up against the cage, knee from Spoon, knee to the thigh, dirty boxing, punches to the face from Spoon as he leans on Straus. Spoon backs out. head kick from Straus checked. They tie up, knees from Spoon. Straus shoots, stuffed. PMN scores the round 10-9 Spoon, the fight 29-28 for Straus.

Ronnie Mann vs. Mike Corey

Round 1 – Couple of leg kicks from Mann. One two, head kick. Corey gets countered with a big right, he clinches up, looks for a single. Mann holds a guillotine, uses it to get away from the cage. One two from Mann. Left hand from Mann. One two from Corey. Nice leg kick from Corey. He gets rocked by a right hand that drops him, het gets up and gets dropped with another right. Mann jumps on him but Corey locks on an omoplata. Mann pulls out and Corey stands up. He appears okay and they square up. Right hand by Mann, left by Corey. Right hand, left head kick from Mann, both blocked. Jumping knee from Mann as Corey comes in, either just misses or just nicks Corey. Corey puts Mann on his back and lands some ground and pound from half guard. Several hammerfists and right hands from Corey. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Mann.

Round 2 – Leg kick from Mann. Corey with a left hook backs up Mann. Corey comes forward with more punches. Right hook by Mann scores following a combo from Corey. Nice left hook from Corey scores. Big leg kick from Mann. Nice exchange of punches. Corey shoots and puts Mann on his back, in half guard now landing punches to the body, hammerfists to the head. Mann gets full guard. Corey grinding. Mann throws up an armbar using a cage walk to set it up. Corey gives him some hammerfists to think about and Mann releases the armbar. One minute to go and Corey continues to punish and is now winning this round. More left hands from Corey and a couple big rights. Mann tries to explode but Corey holds firm and should take the round easy 10-9.

Round 3 – Right hand from Mann. One two body shots from Corey, nice left to the face. Overhand right from Mann is blocked. LEft hook from Corey scores and he uses an outside trip from the clinch to put Mann down. Mann looking for a kimura but Corey flattens him down. Corey in half guard dropping punches and hammerfists. Mann gets full guard, throws up his legs but he is getting dominated here with more and more punches from Corey.  Mann turns over to his stomach, he rolls for a leglock, probably knowing he needs a finish to win. Corey defends it and rides out the last half minute unloading big punches and punishing Ronnie Mann. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Corey and the fight 29-28 for Corey.

Marlon Sandro vs. Roberto Vargas

Round 1 – Left right from Sandro.  Misses a high and low kick. Vargas moving forward, flashes a jab. Big leg kick from Sandro. Vargas catches a front kick and counters with some punches. Sandro rocks Vargas with several big punches. Vargas goes down, but makes his way back up and they trade big shots. Collar tie and a knee to the face from Sandro. Vargas looking for the clinch, knee from Vargas. They square up. One two big shots from Sandro rocks Vargas but he stands firm. Big left right from Sandro finding his reach perfectly. More punches from Sandro on the button and a nice uppercut and Vargas shoots, stuffed and Sandro takes his back, flattens him out. Vargas just lets him sink in the choke without one attempt at defense. Vargas taps out quickly. Sandro hops on top of the cage wearing a Spartan helmet and shield paying homage to the Bellator warrior.

Featherweight Championship Fight

Joe Warren vs. Pat Curran

Round 1 – Touch gloves, Warren attempts a leg kick right afterward. He gets a takedown. Curran gets right up. Warren holds on. Curran gives him some rabbit punches. Warren with knees to the thighs. Curran leaning against the cage, gives Warren short punches. He faces Warren now, big right elbow from Curran on the break. Warren squares up, knee to the body from Warren, shoots, gets a body lock, knees to the thighs from Warren. Curran escapes. They square up. Single leg attempt from Warren, gets a body lock from behind, picks Curran up for the takedown, he just barely goes down and pops up. Warren stays on him  gives a knee from the collar tie. Inside leg kick from Warren, counter punch from Curran. Head kick from Curran rocks Warren, he lands a couple knees and a couple big punches and Warren is hurt, he got dropped. Warren shoots and is clinched up, he gets his wits back, they square up and trade punches. Warren shoots and runs right into a knee, drives through it and takes Curran’s back, drags Curran down. Warren seems okay. PMN scores the round 10-9 for Warren. He appears okay but he has a great poker face.

Round 2 – Warren told his corner he thinks he broke his hand. Warren gets a takedown, but can’t hold him down. They square back up. One two leg kick from Warren. Head kick from Warren blocked. Warren shoots, stuffed. Left from Curran on the chin. Double jab from Curran. Warren shoots for the single pushes Curran to the cage. Curran with some small punches from the clinch. They trade knees from the clinch against the cage. Warren gets the takedown with a Greco throw. He can’t hold him down though and Curran is right up. Curran has a big cut under his right eye and is bleeding pretty good. Nice right hand from Curran. ONe two from Warren, shoots, stuffed, lands two knees on the break. Warren shoots, stuffed. Curran with a body kick on the break. PMN scores the round 10-9 Warren.

Round 3 – Warren shoots, stuffed. One two from Warren, Curran counters. Warren shoots, stuffed. Warren charges in with punches. Right hand scores for Warren. Curran rocks Warren with a knee as he shoots. Warren stumbles backward to the cage. Curran lands a flying knee then about 20 punches and knees until he goes unconscious. Warren turned his back to the strikes after about five shots. Fight went on WAY too long and this ref should have stopped it. Warren took too much punishment there. Ugly stoppage but a big win for Pat Curran who takes Joe Warren’s title. That’s two bad knockouts  back to back for Warren. Is he done?
