Featherweights Erik Koch (L) vs. Cub Swanson (R) at UFC 132

UFC featherweight contenders Erik Koch (12-1) and Cub Swanson (15-4) were supposed to face  off at UFC on Versus 4 on March 3, but Swanson had to back out with an injury. Now the two have been rescheduled to compete at UFC 132 on July 2 in Las Vegas. The UFC announced the news on April 5 on its official website.

Despite Swanson’s last second withdrawal, Koch is riding high coming off of a knockout of the night win over Raphael Assuncao at UFC 128. It was Koch’s first UFC win and moved him to 4-1 under Zuffa-owned promotions.

Swanson has yet to make his UFC debut since the company officially merged with the WEC, where he went 5-3 beating the likes Hiroyuki Takaya and Micah Miller, but dropping fights to Chad Mendes and current champion Jose Aldo.

UFC 132 is headlined by a bantamweight matchup between titleholder Dominick Cruz and top contender and former featherweight champion Urijah Faber. Three lightweight bouts are also scheduled for the event: Evan Dunham vs. George Sotiropoulos, Dennis Siver vs. Matt Wiman, and Melvin Guillard vs. Shane Roller.
