Multiple media sources have reported that Brian Ebersole will replace Carlos Condit against Chris Lytle at UFC 127. The card will take place Feb. 26 at the Acer Arena in Sydney, Australia.

Earlier this week, news broke that Condit had been forced off the card with a knee injury. The former WEC champion is currently riding a three-fight winning streak after dropping his UFC debut to Martin Kampmann.

Ebersole is a veteran of 52 professional MMA bouts, but he will make his MMA debut at UFC 127. The Illinois native is a fixture on the Australian MMA scene. He holds victories over Carlos Newton, Matt Horwich and Nick Thompson.

Lytle earned a second shot in the UFC after competing on the fourth season of “The Ultimate Fighter.” In the finale, he dropped a contentious decision to Matt Serra. However, since then, he has gone 8-4, and he is currently riding a four-fight winning streak.

UFC 127 will mark the second time the promotion visit Australia. Last year, Acer Arena hosted a sell-out crowd for UFC 110. In the headlining bout, former UFC champion B.J. Penn will take on perennial contender Jon Fitch.
