Remember former UFC heavyweight champion Tim Sylvia? Sure you do. These days he’s fighting guys like Vince Lucero, a 19-19-1 heavyweight who just lost his sixth straight fight after “The Maine-iac” got hold of him (Lucero does have a draw thrown in there for good measure).
At 2:44 of round one, Mr. Lucero gave up due to strikes while Big Tim was in full mount on his back. Someone used a James Bond secret pen cam to film the fight, so you can see “The Maine-iac” in action right here.
Clearly at this stage of the game peace officer Sylvia is chasing the goal of regaining his top-10 heavyweight status by fighting only the best. Sylvia vs. Lucero headlined “Extreme Challenge 170” at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn, this past Saturday night.
