Comedian George Lopez was the first Mexican to host a late-night talk show on an English-language network in the United States, so it was only fitting he should have as guest Monday night the first Mexican heavyweight combat sports champion, Cain Velasquez.

Velasquez expressed how it felt to be champion and explained how he, as the smaller fighter, dealt with Brock Lesnar‘s size and power.

Also, in homage to Lesnar, who had promised to eat a burrito and drink a Corona if he won, Velasquez and Lopez ate a traditional American meal, a peanut butter and jelly sandwich with the crust cut off and a glass of milk.

Velasquez, Lopez and Las Vegas magician Criss Angel perform a skit backstage before the interview.
