FLORENCE, Ky. — Kim “Sugar Free” Couture, the ex-wife of UFC Hall of Famer Randy Couture, improved her professional MMA record to 3-3 by submitting local fighter Felicia Wells with a reverse arm-triangle choke in round two of Absolute Action MMA’s “Battle Against Breast Cancer” main event Saturday night, Oct. 2, at Turfway Park in Florence, Ky.

The all-female MMA event which broadcast in an online pay-per-view helped raise money for the Pink Ribbon Girls, a charity organization whose goal is to provide support to patients and families dealing with breast cancer.

This was Couture’s third fight this year, and like Wells, she was coming off her own triangle choke submission loss. Marianna Kheyfets had choked her out at XFC 11 back in July. The win over Wells marks the first submission victory of Couture’s career.

SPECIAL NOTE: This online pay-per-view is still available to watch at www.cagefightinglive.com. From all accounts it was a spectacular show and a historic night for women’s MMA, so go check it out.
