World Extreme Cagefighting has added a new lightweight fight to their Nov. 11 “WEC 52: Faber vs. Mizugaki” card, headlined by Urijah Faber making the drop to 135 lbs. to face top-10 bantamweight Takeya Mizugaki.

Making his third WEC appearance, Zack Micklewright (7-1), fighting out of Miletich Fighting Systems in Davenport, Iowa, will face Louisiana’s Dustin Poirier (7-1), who trains out of Gladiators Academy in Lafayette.

Micklewright’s manager, KO Dynasty CEO Mickey Dubberly, confirmed with ProMMAnow.com today that Micklewright had already signed his bout agreement, but was unsure if Poirier had yet signed his.

Micklewright won his WEC debut in Dec. 2009 with a unanimous decision over Mushin Corbbrey (8-6). However, he dropped his most recent bout, the first loss of his career, via second round knockout to the ultra-experienced Bart Palaszewski (35-13) at WEC 50 in August.

All seven of Poirier’s wins have come via stoppage, four by (T)KO, three by submission. Like Micklewright, Poirier’s only loss took place at WEC 50, where he dropped a unanimous decision to Danny Castillo (9-3).

Other bouts expected for “WEC 52: Faber vs. Mizugaki,” which will take place at The Palms in Las Vegas, include Brian Bowles vs. Wagnney Fabiano, Damacio Page vs. Eddie Wineland, and Michael McDonald vs. Clint Godfrey.
