SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL – While most of us here in the U.S. were focused on UFC 107 Saturday night, “Bitetti Combat 5” was taking place at Barueri Gymnasium in São Paulo, Brazil. The event saw former WEC Middleweight Champion Paulo Filho (19-1) pick up his 19th victory with a first round tapout of Japan’s Tatsuhiko Nishizaka (6-4-4) in the main event.

In the co-main event refereed by Pedro Rizzo, the brother of the UFC’s “Shogun” Rua, Murilo “Ninja” Rua (18-10-1), took on Golden Glory’s Jason Jones (14-8). “Ninja” seemed to get off to a slow start, but ultimately got the better of Jones, took his back, flattened him out, and pounded out a second round TKO victory.
