Australian MMA fighter and K-1 veteran Ian James “Goshu Hurricane” Schaffa will be coming to Clarksville, Tenn. in early 2010 to train at the SSF Submission Academy according to Owner/Trainer Ron Dayley.

Schaffa is a very well-rounded fighter who competes at the professional level in MMA (8-6-1), Kickboxing (14-3) and Boxing (8-4-2). Schaffa is a member of Team Schaffa and the Poseidon Gym and fights out of Gold Coast, Australia. He has fought for World Victory Road, Shooto, and K-1 promotions.

Schaffa, who fights in the lightweight division, holds a TKO victory over UFC veteran Genki Sudo in a kickboxing match. He has also been in the ring with top fighters Kid Yamamoto, who he took to the third round before losing via TKO in a intense fight, and Caol Uno who he had his first MMA fight against.

Coach Dayley has told PROMMA.INFO that he is looking to get Schaffa a fight while he is in the area training. Any promoters who are looking for a fighter with world class experience to fight on their show should contact Ron Dayley at the SSF Submission Academy (931) 920-8456 or e-mail him at [email protected].

You can read Ron’s very entertaining “Coach’s Blog,” published weekly (sometimes bi-weekly) on PROMMA.INFO.
