The Ultimate Fighting Championship has officially announced three more fights for UFC 104, set to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, Calif. on Oct. 24. The event is headlined by a light heavyweight title bout between undefeated champion Lyoto Machida (15-0) and Mauricio Rua (18-3).

In a lightweight contest former champion Sean Sherk (33-4-1) will face off against Gleison Tibau (19-6). Sherk last fought at UFC 98 losing a decision to Frankie Edgar. Tibau lost a close split decision to Melvin Guillard at the TUF 9 Finale in his last fight.

Also included on the UFC 104 card is a lightweight bout between Spencer Fisher (23-4) and Joe Stevenson (30-10). In Fisher’s last fight he defeated a returning Caol Uno in the UFC’s first foray into Germany at UFC 99 by unanimous decision this past June.

Joe Stevenson looked really good in his last bout defeating TUF season six winner Nate Diaz by decision. Stevenson had been working with Greg Jackson’s camp prior to the Diaz fight and looks refocused.

In a welterweight battle feared striker Anthony Johnson (7-2) will take on Yoshiyuki Yoshida (11-3). Johnson is a very gifted athlete with lethal strikes who has finished six of his seven victories via (T)KO. Johnson defeated Luigi Fioravanti at UFN 17 in his last fight.

Yoshida is 2-1 in the UFC with his most recent fight ending in a guillotine choke victory over Brandon Wolff at UFC 98.

Also expected to take place on the UFC 104 card is a heavyweight bout between Cain Velasquez (6-0) and Ben Rothwell (30-6).
