Strikeforce today announced a New York City press conference to be held on Tues., July 14 for the upcoming highly-anticipated women’s MMA bout between Cris “Cyborg” Santos and Gina “Conviction” Carano.
The press conference is being held to help promote the Aug. 15 showdown for the first ever Strikeforce Women’s Championship Title which will air live on Showtime from the HP Pavilion in San Jose, Calif.
Both, Carano and Santos, as well as Strikeforce CEO and founder Scott Coker, and Showtime Sports General Manger Ken Hershman, will be present at the press conference. One-on-one interviews and photo opportunities will be available. The location is yet to be determined.
