Wanderlei Silva’s lifetime ban seems like a distant memory. He fled the scene of a pre fight drug test in 2014. That ruling was overturned by a district judge a year later and it reached its final destination today at a follow up hearing in Las Vegas.
“The Axe Murderer” was suspended for life back in 2014 after he fled the scene of a pre-fight drug test, but was able to get that sentence overturned by a district court judge the following year.
The good news for Silva is that the suspension is retroactive to 2014 so basically, as long as he has a clean drug test before his next fight we could see him fight again in 2017.
