sting_nocThe WWE announced Monday that Sting will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame 2016 at a ceremony to be held Saturday, April 2 at American Airlines Center in Dallas as part of WrestleMania Week.

Sting (real name Steve Borden) turns 57-years-0ld in March. He is one of biggest stars in pro wrestling history and is a multi-time WCW and United States Champion. Sting was the face of WCW for more than a decade and competed in memorable rivalries with the likes of Ric Flair, Steve Austin, Mick Foley, Vader, The Four Horsemen and NWO.

Sting made his long-awaited WWE debut in November 2014 against Triple H at WrestleMania 31.

“We are truly honored to have Sting take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame,” said WWE’s Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul Levesque. “His contributions to our industry are unprecedented and we look forward to celebrating his incredible career with fans all over the world.”

WrestleMania 32 takes place Sunday, April 3 from AT&T Stadium in Dallas and will broadcast live on WWE Network.
