For the love of all that is holy Mr. Cosby, Bill to be exact, has had his image decimated more times in the last month than anyone not named Obama. The allegations of drugging women and taking advantage of them has sparked a lot of outrage and backlash. Cosby once ruled the world while starring in his own show called The Cosby Show. The Cosby Show was inspired by comedy routines in Cosby’s stand-up act, and they were based on his real family life. The show thankfully spawned the spin-off A Different World, which ran for six seasons from 1987 to 1993. Man I was in love with Jasmine Guy from that show.
Back to the matter at hand. My apologies for that fan boy rant.
At the Golden Globe awards comedians Amy Poehler and Tina Fey unleashed their wit on the poor former Pudding Pops spokesperson. Some of the stuff they said was uncomfortable, but being that there are so many consistent allegations against Cosby we let it slide. I won’t spoil any of the jokes for you because they are funnier when they hit you out of nowhere, which is something the pair of women are known for.
Even if Cosby is innocent there can be doubt that his image is tarnished just like Michael Jackson’s was during his trial for child molestation. Jackson was found innocent, but the public’s perception of him was never the same. Let’s see if the world feels the same about Bill Cosby with all of this negative publicity. Our guess is that they will and Bill will forever be known for two things: Pudding Pops and using drugs to have sex with women.
