UFC champ Anthony Pettis was just strolling around with the belt on his shoulder when a TMZ reporter stopped him for a little chat. It started normal as they talked about getting the UFC belt through airport security. The conversation turned to fighting but it wasn’t a question of if Pettis will beat Gil Melendez this Saturday at UFC 181.
Pettis was asked what degree black belt he was. Turns out he is a third degree blackbelt in taekwondo. Guess who’s a 9th degree? If you guessed Vladimir Putin you’d be correct. When asked if Pettis could beat Putin in a fight the champ said yes.
