An article by Cincinnati.com is reporting that the UFC will be returning to Cincinnati, Ohio, for the first time since 2007. That UFC 77 event featured Cincinnati native Rich Franklin in the main event, trying to recapture the UFC middleweight title he had lost to Anderson Silva at UFC 64.

This return to Cincinnati will air on FOX Sports 1 on May 10 and will take place at the U.S. Bank Arena. The fight card is expected to be announced in the coming weeks, but tickets will go on sale March 21.

Rich Franklin hasn’t lost since a devastating KO loss against Cung Le in November 2012. Franklin still have one fight left on his contract and has not announced his retirement although he has been out of action for over a year. Franklin has always been known as a company man, and this could be the definitive ending with him ending his career in his hometown if he ends up on the card.
