UFC President Dana White used his video blog this week to fire back at certain members of the MMA media who had been critical of the May 5th UFC on FOX 3 broadcast that saw Nate Diaz take on Jim Miller in the main event.

White specifically names the Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer and Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports in the video. He particularly takes offense to what he calls Meltzer’s “doom and gloom story on how the UFC and FOX are blowing this thing because of the numbers that came out [for UFC on FOX 3].”

White says Meltzer just lost his job at Yahoo and therefore should not be giving anyone business advice. He then goes on to explain how UFC on FOX 3 was the number one program of the night in all key male demos. White also points out there were significantly less total people home that night watching television as a whole due to it being Cinco de Mayo and the Avengers movie coming out which had the biggest opening weekend in history.

You can listen to what Meltzer had to say about Dana’s remarks in the following clip which is audio taken from the Figure 4 podcast with Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez:
